Connect Kick

Connecting Kick lets the stream8.io bot read your chat, answer commands and queue your viewers' slot requests. It takes about two minutes.

1. Open Requests & Bot

Sign in to stream8.io and open Requests & Bot from the workspace menu. The Bot setup check panel on the right shows exactly what still needs doing — it updates as you complete each step.

2. Connect your Kick account

Click Connect Kick and approve the connection on Kick's site. You'll be sent back to stream8.io and the setup check will mark "Kick account connected" as done.

3. Switch the chat bot on

Turn on the chat bot switch. Command replies in your chat come from the shared Stream8io account, so you don't need to run anything on your own computer.

4. Make Stream8io a moderator

So Kick doesn't block or slow the bot's replies, type this in your own Kick chat:

/mod Stream8io

5. Turn on the commands you want

Enable the slot request command (for example !sr) and any extras — timed messages, economy commands like !work and !crime, and the points system. Changes save in about a quarter of a second and apply to the very next chat message.

6. Test it

Type your request command followed by a slot name in your Kick chat, for example !sr Gates of Olympus. The bot replies in chat and the request appears in your queue on the Requests & Bot page.

If something isn't working

Next: configure your OBS overlays or set up stream alerts.
